“Experiencing SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY as one of the core values of St. Joseph College”
St. Joseph College High School Department puts into action a program that will help children with weight problems. The program is entitled “Adopt-a-Day Care Center under Hapag-asa Integrated Nutritional Program.” The said feeding program commenced last July 29, 2011 and will last until January 29, 2012.
In an interview with Mr. Chris Galgo, Social Worker of Community Extension Service Office (CESO), he mentioned that Rev. Fr. Hanival G. Brucelas was the one who spearheaded the project and he assigned CESO as the lead department for it.
In order to push through with the program, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing was held last July 15, 2011 at the Social Hall of St. Joseph College-Olongapo. The signatories were: Rev. Fr. Hanival G. Brucelas, SJC President and Director of Social Action Center of Zambales (SACZ); Mrs. Diana L. Tolentino, Community Extension Service Office (CESO) Head; Mrs. Imelda T. Lampazo, High School Principal; Mrs. Leonor B. Dizon, Elementary Principal; Mrs. Genia Eclarino, City Social Welfare Officer; Mrs. Elvira Corpuz, representative from East Bajac Bajac Elementary School; Capt. Filipina Tablan, Barangay Captain of East Bajac-Bajac; Mr. Eric Lorenzo, HFC Chairman High School Dept; Kgwd. Cesar Lobos, HFC Chairman Elementary Dept; Mr. Jesus Ramos, SSG Adviser; Mrs. Evangeline Cabrera, SPG Adviser; Jay Pineda, SSG President; and Michael Enzo Ambay, SPG President.
